“A really lovely stay, my favourite of my trip to Japan!”
It’s such a lovely, peaceful place with beautiful details and it turns out larger than expected; the photos are nice but don’t do it justice.

Nice area and recommended for short solo travelers to have an original, extremely simple and minimal experience. In any case it was clean. Very short, steep stairs, no handles, very slim stairs, almost impossible to bring up the suitcases in a normal and safe manner. (Highly dangerous!!) Ceilings super low, always hit our head, very little space inside of the apartment and the biggest issue was the privacy, as the staff could come in anytime unannounced. They came even at 9.58 in the morning, while we were asleep and woke us up. We were unaware if this is staff or someone else, so it felt extremely uncomfortable and made the stay experience much worse. I would surely recommend a Hotel in this area for this price, safety and comfort. The coffee and tea were not refilled after the 1st night anymore, which was also very disappointing

The location made our trips to Teshima and Naoshima a breeze; the place was cozy, spotless, and the host was super friendly and easy to talk to.

The place sits right by the ferry and train station, and you’re also close to restaurants, cafés, bars and shops. The décor feels warm and inviting, and the room size was just right for a couple. The tatami bed came with a mattress and was super comfy. Shoko was amazing—she helped us recover a lost item from a hotel in Hokkaido and even suggested a candle‑light concert by the port that we would have missed otherwise. We loved every minute of our stay! Nothing was wrong at all, everything was perfect 🤩

The hotel is unique and beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
