The property was beautifully decorated and well cared for. We felt very welcomed and the check‑in was effortless. The location is perfect because the host has parking spaces at a lot just a 5‑minute walk down the street. We left our car there the whole time and could walk to all the places anyone would want—restaurants, shops, the Cliff Walk entrance, etc. The host also served us an amazing raspberry bread pudding for breakfast, along with a gorgeous spread of fresh fruits, granola, yogurt, and fresh coffee every morning. Then, after my husband realized he’d left his wedding band in the room and we couldn’t return it, Richard responded quickly, found it, mailed it home, and sent us a tracking QR code. That let my husband relax and enjoy the rest of our vacation as we drove along the coastline to Bar Harbor. We’ll definitely stay again if we’re back in Newport and will recommend it to friends. Thank you so much for everything! All was good. 😊

We had a fabulous stay at Austin House! Our room was a spacious suite with a living area and bedroom and a modern bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. The house is full of antiques and art. The location is great—walking distance to the wharf and many restaurants. Robert is the perfect host—friendly, informative, and attentive to our requests. He prepared the most delicious and unique breakfasts each morning! Parking was nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

The place is adorable and charming, a historic house that’s been modernized with all the conveniences you’d expect, and the staff let me check in and out whenever I needed. Everything worked out perfectly, so I’m already planning my next visit.
