The spot was lovely, and the terrace offered breathtaking views of two of the many castles and churches. The family who ran the place was helpful with our laundry, kept an eye on our bikes, and were genuinely nice. The town itself was charming, making it a great overnight stop, and the bedroom was huge. The bathroom, however, was tiny—just enough to get by.

The spot was beautiful, surrounded by stunning nature and a cozy village, yet the little house we stayed in smelled stale, the bathroom had a sewer‑like odor, the kitchen stove was dirty around the knobs, and the trash can was rusted.
