Hôtel de l'Espérance

Just steps from the beach and shops, yet no staff in the hotel, the door was open, workers were inside that I couldn’t see (a little later they would trigger an alarm, so I’d have to leave). I called the number on the door and was given my room number. The room was a bit run down: carpet, wallpaper… If you want to watch TV, the screen is stuck to the ceiling in a corner. A strong sewage smell in the bathroom. The next day I met a kind lady who couldn’t process my payment.

The spot is spot‑on, right near everything. The room 2 faces the street on the ground floor and has no blinds, so privacy is lacking, especially with the loud door‑clacking at the entrance and ongoing construction in the building during the off‑season.

“Catastrophique”

Nothing positive. We need a refund for this room: it was not cleaned, no fitted sheets, the trash wasn’t emptied, the curtains were dirty, the windows weren’t cleaned—please call me.

“Hotel simple et confortable à 2 pas du centre et de la plage”

The place was simple, the location excellent, the bedding good, and it was easy to reach both the city centre and the beach.

The hotel is “in its element” but ultimately has charm! The staff is truly adorable and the location is top.
