It’s convenient to the town, but there was a scumbag in the building who stole my food from the fridge in the kitchen, even though it was just a leftover of my dinner; what a scumbag—so ashamed, I felt pity for that person even though they can’t even buy food for themselves!

The spot’s right in the city centre, which is great for getting around, and the kitchen is decent though very basic. There are plenty of fridges and freezers for food storage, and the ensuite shower is super handy. Parking is all paid and pricey because of the location, and the room feels very functional—no bells and whistles, no TV, no pictures, no decor—because it’s a former student dorm meant for long‑term living, so that’s just something to know before booking.

It’s practically next to Southend Victoria, Sainsbury’s, and the shopping centre, which is convenient. The only downside is there’s no electric fan, so a summer stay would be awful.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, close to the High Street and just a 1‑minute walk from the sea. It’s quiet and safe, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room doesn’t ventilate well, so during hot weather it felt a bit stuffy.

The price for a single bed with an ensuite shower is good, basic but it met my needs. The Wi‑Fi is strong and the spot is great for train and bus connections. The only issue is there’s no air‑conditioning, so if it goes above 25 °C bring a fan.
