“Hotel disappointing and underwhelming, City and people nice”

Arriving at the Mozart Guesthouse, we were handed a double room instead of the triple we’d booked. The staff insisted it was the same room because it had an extra bed, and claimed they were fully booked even though our confirmation showed three beds. They didn’t send the discount link for local attractions, so we had to buy tickets ourselves, but later they let us in free at the water park after we explained the mix‑up.

The breakfast spread was varied and the indoor pool was free to use, which was a nice bonus. On the downside, the beds were too soft and the door frames were very low, making it a bit awkward to get in and out.

The location was spot‑on, right where you want to be. The terrace could have been a bit cozier and friendlier, but otherwise everything was fine.

The breakfast at the nearby four‑star hotel was solid. However, the rooms were very outdated, with carpeted floors that felt overpriced for what you get.

We stayed at the stylish Mozart guesthouse, but for breakfast and the pool we headed to the new Alpine hotel. The rooms at Mozart were clean except for the carpet, and the bathroom was tidy. I’m not going to say it was bad, because I knew what to expect from an older guesthouse, but a few things left a mild impression: dogs in the Alpine dining area bothered me, the carpet in room 4 was dirty in two spots, and there was no basic dishware like a glass or spoon.
