Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Palm Coast

I stayed there about six years ago and it was great. The staff were excellent. Maintenance was thorough, ensuring every little nook and cranny was taken care of, and attention to detail was spot on. In contrast, now they’ve removed breakfast, so there’s no breakfast at all. I don’t even know why they have it. Because there is no breakfast, that’s a negative. There was hair in my shower. There was mold. I will never ever ever stay there again and Red Roof should take the name back.

“Quiet and comfortable but no breakfast”

The room was tidy, the shower had plenty of space, and the bed was comfy. It stayed quiet and dark, and the AC performed well. The room lacked a closet, and although breakfast was advertised, we only received coffee.

“Fine for one night”

It worked for a single night, but staying longer would have been a bad idea; the beds were comfortable. We had just finished a long drive and chose this place because of its reasonable price and the need for a quick rest before heading home. The front desk staff seemed indifferent and had stains on his shirt. The room we were given had a filthy toilet, so we had to request someone to clean it. It was nighttime and no staff were available, so the receptionist swapped our room and offered us a choice between two options. After the issue was resolved, he was kinder and offered help if needed. Both toilets were unclean, but the one that was slightly cleaner had a musty odor that forced me to use my inhaler to sleep. The sink was stained and there were no complimentary toiletries except soap for handwashing. I asked for a couple of toothbrushes, and he supplied them after saying he wasn’t sure they had any.

The value was good, and the price matched what I expected. The water needs to get hotter, and the pool deck has small ants, as does the spa.
