The manager was wonderful, going above and beyond by giving us a lift when we were stranded, holding one of our suitcases while we were away on an 8‑day boat tour, and the room was just fine at a very reasonable price; I appreciated the on‑site laundry facilities and the great location near restaurants and a health‑food store. We returned three times during our 17 days on Haida Gwaii.

A great place to stay in DG, with a friendly proprietor and clean, good facilities; the front rooms have small balconies with a great view over the water, and one of ours had a kitchenette that let us cook breakfast. It’s also close to a convenience store and several restaurants.

The room was clean and the price reasonable, and the location was perfect for local tours; the staff were very courteous and accommodating, but parking was far from the room and there was no microwave in the room I booked.

We liked having kitchen with 2 electric elements, fridge, dishes etc. We would prefer a coffee maker or bodum because kurig creates plastic which goes to landfill. We would like to have been able to recycle paper and plastic if that’s available in Daajing Giids. A refillable shampoo dispenser would also be nice environmentally
