The place is great for its location, but there was no staff at all. Nobody was at the front desk the entire time we were there, and we never saw a single employee. We received an email with our room number and code, yet the door lock never worked; it stayed unlocked, letting us walk in without a code and we couldn’t lock it when we left, so the room was never secure. It wasn’t clean either—dirty towels, a foul‑smelling bathroom, and the bed was only half made. I won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Very disappointed.

“Wish we would have stayed somewhere else !”

The location was great and the man at the front desk was a great host who did his best to accommodate everyone. However, the whole property was very dirty and run down; the pictures the business posted were definitely not recent. Our room was nasty, the AC didn’t work for all four days we stayed, and the main office knew it had no AC before we checked in but never told us. The sheets were dark brown‑stained, and the room looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years, with no maintenance done. I booked this hotel with high hopes for our anniversary trip, having dreamed of staying here for years, but an hour after checking in we wanted to leave. The front desk man tried to help, but upper management seems unwilling to invest in this historic place. It’s a shame; it could be beautiful. For the price they’re asking, it definitely needs far more maintenance and cleaning. The bathroom had mold and a broken toilet seat, and the room temperature ranged from 77°F to 81°F.
