“Great stay, lovely views and tranquility at its best.”
Tranquility at its best.Loved our stay.Breakfast was good. The microwave is to high to reach
The location was great and the value was excellent; the host communicated well and the staff were friendly, but the bathroom needed a bit of TLC— the tap was loose in the wall and there was mildew on the ceiling.
“Die schlechteste Unterkunft ever”
Nothing worth mentioning. The stay was the worst accommodation I’ve ever had; we were in the main house, where the room had no air conditioning and only a small wall heater, and the electric blanket didn’t work. It also rained through the ceiling—not just a little—so I put a cup under the leak, but it ran over by breakfast and soaked the carpet. The leak had been there long enough to leave stains on the carpet and wall. The host seemed unaware of the issue until we returned in the evening, at which point they offered us a different room. We moved to the side room, where the roof was sealed and the electric blanket worked, but the faucet ran. Breakfast was barely adequate; there were egg dishes for those who liked them, but otherwise only toast, butter, and cheap jam. The gate opener for the beach didn’t work and felt flimsy, so we didn’t want to touch it.
“One night stay”
After a few days on a road trip from CT, we stopped at Grootvlei Guest Farm and fell in love with the room, breakfast, and aesthetic; the management and staff—Maggie, Leisl, and Amanda—were warm and welcoming, making our experience first‑class.
Very pleasant. There is a beach area, animals, and plants.
