Very nice. It seemed like everyone who stayed had breakfast, and it was very popular. Nothing to mention.

“A little rough.”

Getting there from the highway is easy, but the room was worn out and there were no Kleenex or other standard items.

“I’ll never stay here again.”

The location was fine, but the room was dirty, dusty, with chipped paint, and the towels in the bedroom were dirty and stained. It was extremely hot in Redding and all of the ice machines were broken.

“I believe it was safer than sleeping in my car.”

[1.0/10] I think it might have been better than crashing in my car. The room was in such bad shape it felt disgusting; my first thought was it must have been used to house homeless people during Covid. We slept in our clothes and avoided walking into the room or bathroom without shoes. Stains were visible on the bedding and carpet. The walls were so thin that by the next morning I could have told you almost anything you wanted to know about the grandpa who slept in the room next door—from fishing trip stories to the special diet of his grandkids. I’m pretty sure he had no idea that it sounded like he was sitting in my room talking on the phone. I felt it was safer to stay there than to keep driving overnight, so that’s why we spent the night.
