The place was simple but cozy, and the service was excellent. The hotel owner, Mr. Giovani, was very attentive and helpful; we arrived on Friday and he sent us a message on Saturday asking how our stay was going and gave us a great tip. He first asked what we were interested in, I told him, and he suggested we visit Ilha das Corredeiras. My husband, a couple of friends, and I loved the recommendation. On Sunday we were supposed to check out at 12:00, so I messaged him asking if we could leave a bit later because we were heading to Rio Azul and wouldn’t make it back by noon; he was very accommodating and said we could stay without any problem. Nothing else to complain about.

I booked a non‑refundable reservation, but when I arrived all rooms were occupied and I had to stay on the street. I spoke directly with the owner, Mr. Geovane, and he simply replied that there was nothing he could do! It’s very sad that the proprietor absolved himself of any responsibility – a true portrait of Brazil, each person trying to take advantage (complete dishonesty).
