“The hotel was disgusting”
Nothing. If zero stars had been an option, that’s exactly what I would have chosen. Where do I even begin? Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel sits directly along Highway 287, and the traffic noise was constant and incredibly loud. When I entered the room, I was immediately hit with an overpowering odor. It smelled like someone had emptied an entire can of air freshener in an attempt to mask underlying odors and general uncleanliness. To make matters worse, the water had been left running in the bathtub when I entered the room. The room was visibly dirty, the carpet was heavily worn and stained, and the bathtub had noticeable blue staining as well. Based on its condition, there was absolutely no way I would have set foot in that bathtub, let alone used it. Based on my experience, I find it very difficult to believe the positive reviews accurately reflect the condition of this property. The photos posted online also appeared dramatically different. Since this is a dog‑friendly hotel, I expected there to be a designated area for pets to relieve themselves. Instead, there was only a small patch of weeds and dirt located immediately next to the busy highway, with other dogs’ feces left behind and no apparent effort to keep the area clean, safe, or suitable for guests traveling with pets. My biggest concern, however, was the broken security latch on the room door. As a woman traveling alone with a small dog, I did not feel safe staying in a room that could not be properly secured. Ultimately, I repacked my car and left without spending the night. I have stayed in countless hotels over the years, and this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave because of the condition of the room and the safety concerns. I simply could not bring myself to sleep in that bed. This property was completely unacceptable. I would never stay here again, and based on my experience, I would not recommend it to anyone.
