I was excited to stay at this place because the area is well‑planned for holidaymakers and dog‑walkers, with friendly locals from Poland, Germany, and the surrounding community. The caretaker or staff member at the site was very pleasant and helpful, a sharp contrast to the owners and managers. However, even though I told them I was bringing a calm, well‑trained, quiet, clean dog and the site advertised “Pets welcome,” I was stopped at arrival and told I couldn’t keep my dog in the room I had already booked and paid for. As a single pensioner with limited funds before my next pension payout and extra car‑repair costs, I chose this affordable accommodation to stay in the countryside during our trip to Poland, where my dog and I planned long outdoor walks. I tried to extend my stay by renting a cabin at Ow Gabi when my account was topped up before the original end date, but I was forced to move into a cabin from day one, a cost I couldn’t afford. I had no choice because my money paid to OW Gabi wasn’t refunded, leaving me no other place to sleep. After a phone call with someone claiming to be the “owner and boss,” I explained my financial situation and asked if I could stay a few days in the cabin in advance while I waited for my account to be replenished, promising to pay the outstanding balance before I left and possibly stay longer. He agreed, and I was grateful. The next day, a different man appeared, claiming to be the owner and boss of OW Gabi, and insisted that I had never been allowed to stay in the cabin without paying in advance.
