The staff, especially the owner, were absolutely amazing. The only downside is there’s no en suite, but I believe that’s about to change.

The accommodation was basic, the staff very friendly, and there was free parking at the rear close to amenities. Overall it felt very dated and the shared bathroom could use a refresh.

The staff were excellent and very attentive, willing to go to great lengths to sort anything that needed it. The tea/coffee tray and toiletries were much more generous than most bigger places. The spiral access staircase and the sash windows were a bit old‑fashioned, though I was told the hotel is about to get a makeover and I’d like to return to see it. It’s a very old hotel on a main street, so the traffic noise isn’t really the hotel’s fault.

The overall cleanliness was mediocre.
