“Lugar correcto, pero puede mejorar.”
It’s tucked away from the city, surrounded by a rustic setting that makes it very quiet. The locals are very friendly. It’s close to major sights like Valle de los Reyes, Valle de las Reinas, and Medinat Habu. The chef for both breakfast and dinner was great, but breakfast should be varied and aimed at tourists (four days of the same breakfast). The speaker at 5:30 am sounded as if it were inside the room; they should warn guests. There’s a lot of dirt around, plastics, trash, debris, etc., thrown into the river or the road in front of the hotel—though the hotel isn’t at fault. If the facilities aren’t kept up, they’ll deteriorate quickly. In our room we had a price list and ordered dinner, but when we went to pay they wanted to charge a higher price, showing us a list at reception with euro prices that were much higher. Those are European prices and don’t match the service offered, especially since there are hardly any places to eat nearby; everyone had to walk more than a kilometer. We share these comments hoping they improve, as it could be a magnificent place.
