The breakfast was excellent, the hotel sits right next to Minehead town centre and the beach, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful—ideal for a quick getaway in Minehead.

The Montrose Guest House was spotless, the owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond, and we stayed in room 1, which had a small private conservatory, an outdoor table and chairs, a tiny fridge, and tea‑making facilities; fresh milk was added to the fridge daily. The breakfast was amazing—freshly cooked and huge, one of the best I've had at any hotel. All in all, a perfect few days away, and we’ll definitely return.

This B&B was decent: clean, tidy, and well kept, with an excellent breakfast that included homemade bread and preserves. The rooms were nice, and there was off‑road parking for four cars plus usually unrestricted roadside spots. A short walk takes you to the town high street, so I’d recommend Montrose, Minehead without hesitation.
