Istanbul Royal Hotel

On May 1 2026 I booked the hotel and received confirmation and a booking number the same day, along with a taxi confirmation. On May 11 2026 I arrived in Istanbul, was greeted by the transfer service and taken to the hotel, where staff told me that according to your passport there was no reservation. I showed them the booking number and confirmation sent by the hotel, yet they claimed that my name, surname and booking did not exist. I asked for confirmation again, and the hotel Royal sent me the booking number, but they still said my details were nonexistent. Can someone explain this?

I liked the location, the staff, and the breakfast. Unfortunately, throughout the hotel you could smell the canal, the place felt worn out and in need of renovation. There was no parking, so we had to walk a fair distance.

I was initially pleased with the hotel's location, but my enthusiasm was short-lived. Unfortunately, the bathroom was equipped with an old-fashioned shower, which was a major letdown.

I was thoroughly unimpressed with this hotel, which appeared to be much nicer on the outside than it was on the inside. The beds were uncomfortable, the furniture was old, and the carpets seemed to be a breeding ground for germs. To make matters worse, the hotel seemed to be plagued by mold and mildew. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
