The vibe inside the old building is really nice, and the North Suite comes with a huge bathroom that makes the bed feel extra comfy. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, but the carpet in the hallway and the room is heavily worn and could use a replacement.

We got a King room that was decent in size but had no place for luggage; a small bar fridge sat in the wardrobe. Breakfast was nice, the cook was pleasant and friendly, and the guest kitchen had tea, coffee, a microwave, snacks, and soft drinks; the location is great. The room lacked built‑in AC, so a loud portable unit was supplied; there’s no on‑site staff except the morning cook, the TV is old and not very functional, and the carpets are worn and frayed. Though the building is a beautiful heritage site, it urgently needs repairs, maintenance, new carpets, and some renovation.

Breakfast was lovely, the cook was friendly and helpful, and we liked the guest kitchen with tea, coffee, snacks, ice, and soft drinks; the spot is good and within walking distance to the port, harbour, and main shopping. The room was a small double, had no TV, no fridge, no AC, the carpets were scuffed and almost threadbare, the shower had cracked silicone that needs replacing; it was pricey for what we got, and there’s no on‑site staff like a typical B&B. It’s a charming old house, but it needs a lot of TLC, repairs, maintenance, and renovation.

The dining room and breakfast buffet are good, and the staff are very friendly. The carpet throughout the house is unbearably old and stained.
