It was very cute and comfortable with lovely views; we appreciated the fluffy dressing gowns, the bathroom was lovely, and the shower was spacious—perfect for a two‑night stay in Tākaka. The mice running across the plastic roof at night were noisy and echoed in the room.

The spot was spot on for us, with a lovely view of the river that was really calming. The plastic sheeting on the roof over the kitchenette and breakfast bar got condensation and left some cold puddles on the floor, but that didn’t bother us much.

The cottage was cute and had a unique vibe, overlooking the river with coffee stools and a bench outside. The shower was interesting. It was great value for money and we enjoyed our stay. Nothing to complain about.
