I advise to phrase it firmly, but without directly saying the person “manages very poorly,” so that your refund request remains credible and professional. I also add the lack of contact for eight days and the towel problem. The message: Unfortunately, we cannot say that we had a great stay. We were extremely unhappy with our arrival. We almost ended up sleeping outside because our phones had almost no battery left, and we had great difficulty accessing the accommodation. After travelling, this caused us a great deal of stress and was completely unacceptable. During our eight‑day stay, we had no contact with anyone from the property. You never came to see us or check whether everything was going well. Our towels were not changed during our stay, and there was no follow‑up or assistance from the property. There are also several problems with the accommodation. The knives do not cut properly, there is no bath mat in the bathroom, and the edges of the shower are black and appear dirty. We also found a large amount of water on the bathroom floor, which appears to be caused by a leak. This is concerning and should be checked. The outdoor walkways are also black and dirty, and there is not even a small table outside where we can sit and have a coffee. Overall, we have had the impression that the accommodation is being managed remotely, with very little attention given to the guests and to the condition of the property. Unfortunately, this has had a significant negative impact on our stay. Considering all these issues, particularly the problems we experienced upon arrival, the lack of contact and assistance during our eight‑day stay, the lack of fresh towels, and the apparent water leak, we are requesting a partial refund of the cost of our stay. We believe that a partial refund would be a fair and reasonable compensation for the inconvenience and the conditions we have experienced.
