“Pub experience in Baslow”

Nice spot with a lot of parking, close to Chatsworth, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, but the road noise was a bit annoying.

I didn’t get breakfast. The lady who manages the accommodation was outstanding and helpful. Unfortunately, when I went to dinner and ordered a drink, I waited half an hour for it. When I asked the waitress if the drink would be coming, she spat out “yes!” and then, in an equally aggressive manner, said, “Are you ready to order?” I said yes and ordered. I had a starter and main from the special but felt so uncomfortable as a single diner that I left without dessert. It was odd that the waitress didn’t ask me how my meal was; it felt like she was more interested in couples at the restaurant and the people she knew. I felt really uncomfortable, so much that I didn’t go back for breakfast—such a shame, I hope I wasn’t charged for it. The waitress could have provided better customer service, focusing more on single guests like me instead of her usual crowd.

“Perfect stay when hiking in the Peak District!”

The room was spotless and roomy, and having a tub after a day of hiking was a treat. The staff even helped us lift our luggage. The only downside was that breakfast wasn’t included.

I’m thrilled with my stay and would recommend the place. The whole team was super friendly, the room was large and comfortable, and the restaurant dishes are delicious with a staff that always goes the extra mile.
