The hotel is very quiet near the forest and surrounded by sports facilities. A car is useful but not mandatory to reach the nearby town of Grünberg; there is a walking path past the pool into the town. The rooms are simply furnished and nowhere near a 4‑star plus standard. The walls are bare; there are no pictures. The bathroom fittings, including the shower, show significant wear. Rooms with a terrace can get quite noisy in the evenings. Breakfast is adequate but not lavish. No fruit juices or a glass of champagne were offered. Room rates have risen sharply in recent years and are now clearly too high. At a price of €175.00 for the double room, I will not book this hotel again.

The location is gorgeous, and the entire staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I appreciated the eco‑friendly policy of changing towels and cleaning rooms only on request, which matched my environmental values. Breakfast was outstandingly good and generous, especially the freshly made scrambled eggs, a real treat. On the downside, while I agree with the housekeeping’s restraint to conserve resources, the bathroom cleanliness left something to be desired: dust on shelves and the sink, plus a few irritating hairs in the shower and basin, forced me to wipe down immediately after checking in. I mention this simply as a note, because overall my stay was relaxing and lovely. Thank you!
