“Simple, basic accommodation in peaceful location very close to central Ubud attractions.”

I stayed here for 2 nights. The family-run property is on a side street, so it is very quiet even though it was very close to everything I wanted to see in central Ubud. It can be entered through a convenience store on the ground floor and initial impressions are more cluttered than I would usually expect from a property but the rooms, located upstairs, were so peaceful, I would happily stay here again. Note that the side street access is narrow, so cars can't drive up it to drop you off. The room was fairly basic but had everything I needed. Breakfast was ordered from a limited menu via WhatsApp, with tea, coffee and a flask of hot water provided outside the room early in the morning. Bottled water was not provided in the room but was available to buy in the shop downstairs. I stayed in Room 3, on the first floor and was able to see the sunrise over the roof tops. The top floor probably has an even better view, but it was fine on the first floor (and less stairs!). It was easy to arrange a driver to take me to the next property, but allow plenty of time for the driver to negotiate busy Ubud traffic. The towel rail fell off the wall!

The breakfast is great and you can eat right on the balcony in front of your room with a wonderful view, central location, spacious room, I was able to store my luggage after check‑out safely until departure. Unfortunately there was only one shower towel, no towel for hands or face, the bed sheet was not clean, I was standing in front of a locked door at 22:00 and was briefly panicked until a kind neighbour let me in near the entrance, I had not received any information about this beforehand.

The bed is extremely comfortable and spacious. The room is fragrant and clean and the bed is made every day. There is an excellent laundry service. The owners are extremely simple, helpful and kind. The breakfast is simple and local therefore tasty and made with care. If you want comfort, central location and coziness this is the place. Nothing to complain about. Impeccable!
