The person cancelled on the day, forcing me to pay over 300 pounds for a travel lodge because of the Manchester Marathon and England March. I was not happy; I had booked well in advance and even emailed days before arriving, but no response was received. Everything else was disappointing.

The property was easy to access and didn’t need a key/card to open and unlock. 1. There was no hot water in the en suite which we messaged about and the landlord asked us to fix it ourselves by locating the boiler. We couldn't. No warm water for the duration of the stay. 2. There was an alarm constantly beeping outside our door that rang constantly the entire time we stayed. 3. Upon arrival, the room had barely been hoovered and actually found rubbish under the bed and behind the bathroom door including chopsticks, a sock, small plastic bags and a receipt. The bed sheets smelt as if they hadn’t been changed. 4. The kitchen was something we were unable to go into, it was disgusting. There was food left out everywhere on baking trays that were disgusting. They attracted so many flies which actually ended up in our room as well. 5. There was an ironing board with no iron. 6. The smell in the corridor was so overpowering that it made me feel sick. 7. There was one small hand towel given to us despite the booking stating that it was a couple staying, so when we washed in the sink we had to reuse wet towels to dry

Nothing good. Everything was bad: the code wasn’t sent, so I couldn’t get into the property or my room.

Nothing good. Everything was bad: they cancelled a few hours before check‑in, forcing me to pay for another place last minute. They’ve ignored all my calls and messages since. I had to deal with a fool when I was supposed to be out in the city I paid to visit. Ridiculous, scam.

Nothing good. Everything was bad: they cancelled twenty minutes before check‑in, leaving us stranded in Manchester with our suitcases while all the hotels were booked because it was Parklife weekend.
