The house is a gem, located in a spot with wonderful views of the valley and Azpeitia. The kitchen, with a glassed-in dining area overlooking the outdoors, is marvelous. Ana is a perfect host, guiding us on what to see, where to eat, etc. From the house to Azpeitia’s center is just a two or three minute drive. Azpeitia is a charming place with the Loyola Sanctuary and access to many pretty medieval villages.

I really liked the scenery; it was very pretty. The only issue was that my husband and I ended up with a lot of pimples on our skin.

A spectacular spot tucked into the mountains, which makes getting there a bit tricky but totally worth it. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the Basque cuisine was a real treat. We left the place very happy with the overall experience.

The house’s location is great, and the owner and her family were very friendly. The problem was that some guests didn’t read the house rules; despite the signs in three languages at the entrance telling you to leave trash on the street when you leave, some people didn’t follow that. We stayed two days and put our trash in the container at the entrance as instructed.
