“Séjour décevant”
Room cleanliness. Very bad reception on the day of our arrival: no greeting, just the client form to fill out. Overall, the staff were not attentive, not friendly, and not helpful.

The staff were friendly, excellent, and extremely helpful, and there was nothing to complain about—everything was great.

Everything was handy, the food lively, and the staff did everything they could for us. We’ve stayed in Norfolk a few times and it’s always lovely, but this time the people in the rooms above us were very noisy—walking sounded like a herd of elephants and the doors kept banging. We were in room 48, so the room above us. We’ve never experienced that before; it was always peaceful. We didn’t complain since we were only there for two days, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was in an older building that could have had some charm, and the location was good for travelers with a car. The room furnishings were outdated, with almost no pictures on the walls. The double bed was only 140 or smaller. The rooms were very noisy, especially the fans in the bathrooms. The carpets in the rooms were needed to dampen some of the noise, but they were old and not hygienic. The staff were consistently uninterested; we were never greeted upon entry. Breakfast—like the rest of the hotel—was a trip back to the last millennium: canned fruit, coffee from a thermos. The porridge was good. The gym had three broken exercise bikes. The location is a bit too far outside the center for visitors on foot—about a 20‑minute walk. The price is also very high for Jersey.
