The hotel’s self‑check‑in was super convenient, and I got a clear message right after booking. My plans changed mid‑trip and I ended up in Switzerland, where the staff kindly offered great hiking tips for the time I had and even lent me a rain jacket!

The peace and quiet were wonderful, but the bathrooms were too small and uncomfortable for a proper wash.

The location is perfect for hikes or mountain tours in the Lötschental, and there’s a nice garden in front of the house. The communal kitchen wasn’t really usable; we would have appreciated chilled drinks, yet the only shop is in the nearby village of Wiler (Lötschen).

1. The accommodation is close to the bus stop. 2. The restaurant Dorfkeller is nearby and the food is fine. 1. After dark the lights inside are too dim to read. 2. There is no breakfast. 3. The lack of an elevator is indeed inconvenient.

Calm atmosphere and comfortable bedding. The room was changed to a smaller one without any explanation; the larger room remained unoccupied during our stay—why? The bathroom is cramped, the motion‑activated lighting doesn’t work under the shower, and there’s no shower soap (which should be standard). The paper towel dispenser is empty. The common areas feel depressing; a few changes could lift the mood of the place—too bad!
