Riad Venezia, nestled in Marrakech’s historic Medina, sits a five‑minute walk from Jamaâ El‑Fna Square. The riad offers a flower‑laden patio, free Wi‑Fi, and a panoramic terrace for sunset dining. Each air‑conditioned room features a private bathroom. Daily Moroccan‑continental breakfasts, guided tours, and proximity to Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens, and the airport enhance its appeal.

The location is good, but the experience was terrible. The room was very dusty, the electricity cut out, and there was a strong sewage smell in the bathroom. Worse, the shower light fell and Mr. received an electric shock, leaving him with blood—an entirely unacceptable safety issue. Breakfast was awful: a cup of coffee, a piece of bread to share, and a dry pancake that seemed a few days old. The “toiletries” were just a hard square soap like stone (see photo). We strongly advise against staying here, especially given the safety problems.

Nothing to appreciate. All aspects—hygiene, cleanliness—were extremely dirty.

The surrounding culture is nice. However, there is no car access, and no one tells you where the hotel is. You must carry your bags for 15 minutes through a narrow, crowded passage with no guidance. It’s a 4‑room pension, not a real hotel, definitely not suitable for families, and offers no value for money.

The location is good. The downside is that there are rooms on the lower floor where everyone passes.
