“Avoid, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE HOTEL!”
We barely found any positives – avoid at all costs! After returning from Mark Warner Phokaia Beach Resort in Turkey, I struggle to name anything good. The whole stay seemed cheap, tired and painfully basic, far from the Mark Warner standard we expected. Rooms were plain, with no luxury touches, and the décor felt dated and worn. The air‑conditioning unit leaked water onto the floor, the shower malfunctioned, the toilet system failed, and the TV stayed broken for four nights. The pool was the least of our woes; it was a single basic pool surrounded by cheap loungers and chairs, and guests weren’t allowed to bring food. It felt more like a budget resort than a Mark Warner experience. The children’s playground looked like it belonged in 1985, with cracking paint, exposed nails, and chipping surfaces that made us question its safety. The buffet restaurant was a disaster: awful food, dozens of flies around salads, fruit, and meat, stale bread and breakfast items, terrible presentation, and an overall unappetising experience. I have photos to prove it.
