Lovely Caravan At Southview

The spot near the park was great, and the wraparound decking added a nice touch. Unfortunately, the property needed repairs and cleaning; most blinds were broken or missing parts, so they didn’t work. There was no Wi‑Fi, and the signal was nonexistent, which made it hard to get anything online with kids. The master bedroom TV was completely dead, and the living room TV had signal issues. The front door lock failed, leaving us locked out for 20 minutes one evening. The living room fan didn’t work either, and the outside area was overgrown and messy, which was disappointing.

“Very neglected”

The caravan had once been well cared for, with two separate bathrooms and a nice overall look. However, there were black mold spots above the lounge TV, broken blinds everywhere, an overgrown garden littered with razors and baking trays, and a temperamental front door. The bath in one bathroom filled quickly during showers because of a blockage. The bedroom TV was broken, there was no Wi‑Fi or signal, the air fryer was broken, the ceiling fan didn’t work, and the wrap‑around decking was heavily dirty. The caravan felt neglected and didn’t justify the price; for $200 less, a friend found a nicer caravan three sites away that included park passes.

The caravan’s location and the site were peaceful. The front lock box fell off, the living room blind was broken, and the lack of privacy at night due to the broken blind was annoying.

“Nice little stay at skegness.”

The accommodation was very comfortable and the caravan looked lovely and spacious. It needed a thorough spring clean, with dust on the blinds, some lights not working, missing closing rods on some blinds, and a temperamental door lock that sometimes wouldn’t lock or unlock from either side. The view from the kitchen and living room was a bit of a tip‑dumping area where a van had been moved offsite and an old sofa, mattress, and other rubbish were just dumped.
