Good location Excellent staff - very attentive Wonderful evening meals (2). Restaurant closed on Sunday! Very memorable stay in lovely location close to walks and other villages. The Bowes museum mechanical swan is not to be missed!

There was no breakfast. The double room was the size of a single, the noise from the bar was ridiculous, and the banging above made it impossible to sleep; I really should have slept in my van.

Breakfast was not included. I would have liked to try the food, but it wasn’t served on Monday and Tuesday. The food across the road was brilliant.
