“Difícil acceso al hotel pero Perfecta ubicación”
The location was great, but it was hard to find the hotel because the streets were super narrow, all pedestrian, and you couldn’t get there by car.

Everything was perfect. No issues.

The place itself was great and the location amazing, but I was very disappointed that they charged me for a night after all flights to Catania were cancelled due to Mt Etna erupting – something beyond my control. The worst part was that they charged me for the room and then rented it out, so they got paid twice for that one night. I ended up traveling to Sicily by ferry the next day; even though I had paid, the room wasn’t ready because other guests were staying there. I felt it was unfair. I understand the cancellation policy, but they shouldn’t have charged me. The staff attitude was terrible – nobody could resolve the issue. The manager was supposed to call me but didn’t, and they never got back, just took my money.

The reception, cleaning crew, and breakfast room staff were all very friendly, and the hotel itself sits in a perfect spot just inside the city walls. They had already arranged private parking for us, so we only had to drive to the car park near the hotel and our rental car’s number plate was instantly recognised. (Parking costs an extra 20 euros a day). The hotel was comfortable and spotless; we booked the junior suite, which was a nice room of good size with a lovely bathroom featuring a drench shower. We had our own private terrace/balcony, though the chairs and sofa on it were quite hard and not very comfortable. At the time we booked the room, about four months before arrival, the hotel’s description claimed the balcony had a hot tub, which was a key factor in our decision to upgrade to the suite at an additional cost. On arrival, there was no hot tub; we complained and suggested a price adjustment or that the hotel waive the car park charge as compensation for the misdescription. By the time we left, the “management” had decided no price adjustment was possible, leaving us rather disappointed. Such a shame. (We note the room description has since been amended)
