We stayed in two standard rooms for three adults; they were roomy, the beds comfy, and the sheets clean. The price included breakfast, fitting for a hotel geared toward mine workers. However, the rooms were dated, worn, and not very clean. Only a kettle and mugs were offered as amenities, and getting service at check‑in was tough because it depended on the bottle shop or bar staff being available.

The hotel was close to the Red Rooster, but the carpet had stains and the room décor wasn’t very appealing.
