“Caraiva é bom demais.”
Excellent location. Steps onto the beach. Good breakfast. Problems with the air‑conditioner (stopped, cleaning, maintenance) and we had to change rooms twice; the third one was excellent, but we spent a night in the heat. We arrived around 17 h on Saturday and the reception was not operating, the restaurant did not open on Sunday and we did not use the beach services, on Monday it opened but we were already leaving.
The breakfast was delicious, the location was great—just a short walk from the ferry terminal, right on the sand, and close to the village center. When we arrived, the air conditioning stopped working around 16‑17 h. I tried contacting reception several times but got no response, so we spent the night without AC in a lot of heat. The next day they said a technician would check it and then moved us to another room. I asked about the lack of response and requested some compensation for staying a day in a room without AC, but our requests were ignored. Reception needs to be available to resolve such issues instead of leaving guests unanswered. Also, the next morning’s breakfast lacked Nutella for the sweet tapioca, showing a lack of organization with menu items.

The location was exceptional, the stay was comfortable, and the staff were very attentive—highly recommend. The breakfast was lacking, though; it should have offered more fruit, cereals, yogurts, cold cuts, chocolate drinks, etc.

The breakfast could have been better, but what really struck me was that the lodge felt more like a simple beach shack than a proper inn, with a very basic area that didn't offer much for breakfast. There were no pleasant spots to relax; it felt like you just entered the room, showered, and slept because there was nothing else to do. Even though there was access to a beach restaurant, I didn't like the food at all—terrible, especially the fish, which had a lot of flour on it.
The lodge is right on the sand, just a few minutes’ walk from the river and the little town. The rooms are nice and comfortable, and the team is very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is simple but offers good à la carte options.
