Very clean, the floor feels great bare‑foot, supplies are well stocked, water temperature and quantity are excellent, breakfast is homemade Western style and shows care, offering great value. No complaints.

The owner is very friendly, and breakfast is the highlight with the owner’s evident dedication. The location is slightly inconvenient for shopping, but overall it’s very quiet.

The breakfast was delicious, and the owner really cared by preparing separate little biscuits for adults and kids. The place is genuinely clean, especially the stairs which feel so comfortable to walk on, and the room itself is spotless. The owner was attentive and offered to move us to a double bed on the second floor with a connecting passage because we had a child; we originally chose a third‑floor balcony with a sea view, but it wasn’t a connecting room. The child felt very secure with the passage under the mattress. A small mishap happened: we were heading to Longpan Grassland to watch the Milky Way, and when we left around 9 pm we forgot to tell the owner we’d be late; we got back around 12 am, the front door was already locked, and the first call didn’t go through, which was scary. The second call connected, and the owner apologized politely. If you’re in a similar situation, let the owner know your expected return time to avoid awkwardness. Another small incident: when we returned to the guesthouse to shower, there was no hot water because it was too late to bother the owner. The next morning we reported it, and the owner fixed it immediately; the hot water was strong and very pleasant to use, but it would have been even better if it were available at night. Apparently the hot water was shut off for maintenance the previous day, and the owner said you could still contact him that night for help.

Two staff members were very friendly and chatted with us, giving the place a warm, human touch (some people might not be used to that, but I liked it). The room was spotless, even the balcony was clean. The room type I booked was perfect for a little child; the height difference was suitable for climbing around safely. Breakfast was included. The guesthouse has a free parking lot right across from it, and it’s about a 10‑minute drive to Kenting Main Street, so overall I’m very satisfied.

The first thing that struck me was the super friendly reception—so welcoming! This was my first stay on Sand Island; although it’s a bit away from the main street, it’s close by car. Right next to it is the free Sand Island Museum, a small one. I like quiet places, and opposite the island is the first‑row parking lot with a sea view, and a 7‑11 to the south, which is very convenient. We stayed in a family room, and as soon as we opened the door there was a wild monkey passing by the balcony; the kids were both scared and excited—what a surprise! Breakfast featured handmade burgers and sandwiches, unsweetened coffee, plus fruit and pastries—very thoughtful. Overall it was pretty good; give it a try!
