The property sits wonderfully on the Elbe with easy access to the ferry to Coswig, and parking is hassle‑free. However, the first impression upon entering the building was underwhelming: weeds and old leaves cluttered the entrance steps, the carpet inside was dirty, and the windows at the stair exit were filthy. Inside the room, there were spider webs and a toilet brush that looked like it had been in the holder since the hotel opened. When I asked for a different room, I was dismissed with “no rooms left”; yet the hotel wasn’t fully booked. Overall, it’s a shame because the location has great potential.

The reception lady was very welcoming and even asked the ferryman to let us through despite it being late; thanks also to the ferryman. It’s sad that the accommodation will close on 30.09.2026, but it seems a new tenant with new staff will take over.

The location is lovely right next to the Elbe ferry, and the terrace offers a nice view of the river. The restaurant’s opening hours were short, and the food was decent but nothing special.

The location is nice, but we did not get the room shown on Booking; instead we received a smaller, less attractive room. Communication was very poor, and the pictures were only examples. We would never have booked this room, and there was no accommodation even after we complained. “You can’t show every single room,” they said.
