“Struttura trasandata!”
The location is right in the heart of Monopoli. The cleanliness was only approximate: for all three days we felt the common area was never swept, with crumbs left by other guests on the floor. The shower head was broken when we arrived, as was the pole holding it, so we had to improvise the first day. The next day the shower head was replaced at our request, but the broken pole remained for the remaining two days. One of the three towel hooks was completely abandoned on the faucet at arrival and was never fixed after we asked. The towel rack near the faucet was missing (we could see the wall mounts, but it was never replaced). The toilet brush was truly scandalous; the toilet bowl was yellowish, indicating it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly for a long time. There were no shower kits, no underwear, no hand soap (despite being listed in the description), so we had to bring our own. The coffee kit (capsules or tea bags, also listed) was absent; the host said they don’t provide capsules for allergy reasons, which was the first place in my life to make such a decision, and it felt odd. In the kitchen jars there were stale biscuit sachets with crumbs everywhere, showing those drawers haven’t been cleaned in a while. The door of our room creaked loudly, even at night, disturbing us and other guests going to the bathroom outside the room. We asked the host to fix it, but it stayed that way for the entire stay.
