The guys were very friendly and helped me with everything, and there was nothing I didn’t like.

The location was lovely—green rolling hills, a view of an orchard, chickens, a rabbit, and nicely kept grounds. The bedrooms were great, clean and bright, with a nice bed, a small desk, a water jug, etc. The house felt cozy, though the ad said “elegant,” which is a stretch. It was comfortable, with an eclectic mix of furniture that gave a homey feel. The only downside was the surprise that others were in the house; we only noticed them when they slipped out of their bedroom into the bathroom. They didn’t introduce themselves, and we assumed they might be long‑term residents, which was off‑putting since we didn’t have the place to ourselves. We hadn’t read the ad carefully, but there were signs asking people to clean up after themselves and be considerate of other occupants.

The kitchen and lounge were good, the house was clean, the bed was okay but not great, and the cleaning lady was very nice and obliging. However, there was no pressure in the shower, no Sky TV to watch the rugby, and I was disappointed because I thought I had booked a separate unit.
