“Best Breakfast Ever!”
Without doubt this was the best pousada we stayed at during our whole Brazil trip; every detail was taken care of, the rooms were spotless, very clean and welcoming, with large, truly comfortable beds. The hosts were incredibly kind, always ready to help and attentive to guests’ needs. It’s a family‑run pousada with fairly strict rules, which actually makes everything run smoothly and perfectly. I chose it mainly for the breakfast, and it far exceeded what we expected—very generous, and instead of a typical buffet you can pick from several made‑to‑order options each morning, plus a buffet of cakes, sweets and other treats. We also loved the afternoon snack, which was handy after a day out. The place is meticulously maintained and run with great care; I would recommend it without hesitation. The only flaw was stained sheets.
“Top”
Excellent service, great location, good breakfast and afternoon coffee.
“Espetacular”
A charming pousada with great location and good service. Besides other qualities, it has a spectacular breakfast that is carefully prepared. The real highlight is the afternoon tea, the best we’ve had on our stays. We liked everything.
Thais speaks excellent English, which made everything much easier, and you can tell she really cares about the place – the décor, breakfast crockery and little details are all very tasteful and well‑done. Breakfast was superb, and they even offer an afternoon tea (I never tried it because of the timing, but it sounds lovely). The location is fairly central, a short walk to the town centre and to some of the best beaches, though be prepared for a steep climb. The room offered no privacy because the balcony‑style window opened onto a passage with all the other rooms, so you can’t keep the windows and curtains open for fresh air or light, leaving the room quite dark. Our bathroom had no window, and after showers the humidity in the room rose a lot. For excursions, I’d book them yourself as it’s easier and cheaper. The reception closes at 17:00, which is good to know. Housekeeping requires you to leave the keys at reception by 11:00 if you want the room refreshed – I forgot the first day, but I was on holiday and didn’t want to worry about it. One suggestion: offering a courtesy shower for guests with an afternoon flight who want a quick rinse before heading to the beach would be a nice extra. Overall the stay was pleasant, but given the price‑quality ratio I wouldn’t pick it again.
“Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in einem schönen Ambiente.”
Wonderful atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the staff were also very kind. The hosts were a big help with local orientation and booking island tours. The checkout time was extended without issue because the flight was in the afternoon. The only complaint was the loud air conditioning, especially outside. Otherwise, nothing to criticize.
