Gateway Coonoor sits right near the town centre and Nilgiri railway station, and our rooms offered panoramic hill views; the breakfast was extensive and delicious, arguably the best I’ve had, while the front office, restaurant, and housekeeping teams were all cheerful and helpful, and the grounds stayed lush and flower‑filled even during the rainy season—there was nothing to dislike!

The property is beautiful, the staff courteous, and the food excellent; Jhilik and Animesh from the restaurant deserve special mention for their fantastic service, though email and verbal communication with the office and front desk should be better.

The garden and transport services are positives, yet the price is too high for the facilities and amenities offered, and breakfast was only okay, leaving room for improvement.
