“Fabulous views and fabulous accommodation”
A B&B that sits in a great spot and has rooms that are top‑class and fully equipped, but the walk to Strathaven is tough because the roads aren’t very friendly for pedestrians.

The place has a lovely setting and nice views, the room is spacious with a big bathroom, but there could have been more fruit and fresher pastries.

Everything was clean and well cared for, the bathroom was super comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the grounds with a beautiful lawn were lovely; the parking is inside the property. The only downside was a slight smell of fertilizer from the nearby fields, which isn’t the hotel’s fault.

The rooms were tidy and the staff were friendly, and breakfast was good. We were six people spread across three rooms and wanted a family seating area, but the only outdoor seating was taken by a picnic set up by other guests, so we had nowhere to sit together.

Finding the hotel was easy and the layout of the B&B is simple to navigate. The room was clean and came with free biscuits and tea/coffee facilities, plus the parking outside and the stunning views were a bonus. The downside was that the breakfast room is right behind the rooms on the ground floor, and the walls are thin; at about 6.45 am when breakfast started, the noise from families in the rooms made it hard to sleep again, even though I’m not a very light sleeper.
