The hotel is in a great spot near Luton and North London. Be very careful if you’re planning on arriving later in the evening, as check‑in closes at 10 pm; we only found this out in the FAQs, and it wasn’t obvious when booking. We had been travelling for nearly four hours and arrived just after the check‑in time. When we tried the intercom, the staff member we spoke to was extremely rude. I explained how far we had travelled and politely asked whether there was any possibility of checking in, only to be told, “No, not a chance.” We then went into the restaurant to try to sort it out. Initially, the manager also said no, but after around 10 minutes of discussion they eventually agreed to let us check in. The room itself was very basic. It had an electric heater, so the choice seemed to be either cold or absolutely boiling! Unfortunately, cleanliness was also an issue, particularly in the bathroom, where there was a considerable amount of black mould across the ceiling. Breakfast was another disappointment. We had pre‑booked breakfast, but when we came down in the morning there was nobody there to greet us. There was a rather sorry‑looking table with a few croissants, boxes of cereal and flasks of coffee. There was also a pile of coffee cups, almost all of which were visibly stained and dirty — we managed to find about three that looked clean. Eventually, a staff member appeared and took our breakfast order. We then waited around 20 minutes for the cooked breakfast to arrive. When it did, everything apart from the sausages was stone cold. By that point, we just wanted to leave. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience. The late check‑in situation could be communicated much more clearly when booking, and the attitude we initially received certainly didn’t help after a long journey. The cleanliness and breakfast also need significant improvement. If you’re desperate and it’s a last resort, it’s probably worth around £30 a night.

The hotel is located near the airparks for flights from Luton. The room looked clean, but the smell didn’t give the same feeling of cleanliness.

I’m 6 ft 3 inches, 115 kg, and I could not fit in the shower. The place is spotless, the food is good, and the stall is exceptional. It’s very well located and priced; most places charge for parking, but parking is included in the price. Excellent. Just the small shower. Sorry.

The pub was solid, but the breakfast left something to be desired.
