Pomaia is a nice town and the drive there is scenic. They accepted our reservation with only 48 h notice, and there are plenty of free parking spots. However, there was a lot of mouse droppings in the garden, the air conditioning smelled bad, the shower was clogged, and the floor and surfaces weren’t well cleaned when we arrived. The room was on the first floor with a window overlooking the garden, so it couldn’t be opened without people looking directly into the bathroom/bedroom. The sinks were full of limestone, so water didn’t flow well and never got cold. The freezer didn’t work properly.

I didn't get any breakfast, and the shower stall feels like it's from a third‑world country – definitely needs a replacement.

The bathroom was dirty and stank from the moment I arrived, even though I was the only guest in the building. Hygiene matters more to me than looks, so I'm disappointed.
