Laneez Ericeira Surf House

The place has an excellent position and structure, but I would have expected more organised activities. I’m not sure whether this was due to the staff or the people present during that period, but it was really sad; people barely said hello, everyone stayed in their own space in the living room, and the bar lounge was always dark. I expected more social interactions and activities, which are often useful for solo travellers to meet people, but that was far from the case. If you expect a surf house full of lively people eager to do activities together, this isn’t necessarily the solution for you; if you want to stay calm among yourselves and chill, it’s fine.

The view from the living room and terrace is unique, and the people are also very pleasant. Breakfast is very good. The house is on a busy street, and the “Sintra” room is on the street side, so the traffic noise is huge. In the bathroom there is no curtain, so when showering the neighbours can see in.

The location was great and the staff were lovely, but there was a lot of noise very early in the morning, probably from the dining area, which made it hard to keep sleeping. Also, the nice evening air couldn't be enjoyed because the windows had no screens and a lot of mosquitoes flew into the room.

The view is great, the common areas are very cozy and clean, and the staff are very friendly and available. The dorm has 16 beds, but my booking seemed to indicate a 4‑bed room.
