The place was fantastic; Jerry was amazing and the location is great. Watching seals from the window in the morning was a highlight. The only downside was a slight mold issue in the bathroom.

Jerry is a wonderful host, full of local knowledge and very helpful and welcoming. He could use an extra hand with cleaning tasks around the house, especially the shower and the conservatory table for breakfast. The breakfast, including porridge, was delicious and kept me going all morning.

Jerry Wood runs this small B&B with 3 rooms alone. He is completely uncomplicated and communicative. You basically live with him at his home, help out with the kitchen and the winter garden. The community bus takes you out the door. In Pierowall everyone is nice and friendly. Lunch, dinner and pub work. The island of Westray is quite far out from the Orkney islands. In two days you see everything. The nearby campsite is too open to camp there in strong wind.
