The Spa Hotel Planinata, located 5 km outside Ribaritsa, is a modern Bulgarian resort constructed in 2010. It features a hot tub, sauna, and massage parlour, along with free Wi-Fi in public areas. En-suite rooms and suites have private balconies and sleek, cosy designs. The hotel offers a restaurant, bar, and outdoor pool, as well as bike rentals and shuttle service to Sofia International Airport.

The rooms are spacious, the pools are fantastic, and breakfast is good; overall the vibe is pleasant. The rooms are large but feel a bit plain for the price.

It was good, clean, located nicely, and the breakfast was fine. The restaurant’s evening menu is good and the staff is polite. The lunch at the restaurant, however, is subject to criticism: the menu lacks soups and cooked dishes and is very sparse. The waitress was wearing casual clothes, and when we ordered dessert she brought the bill that already included the dessert, then began explaining that the dessert was not available if we wanted another. She didn’t check whether guests wanted to order more or pay, and she was on her phone, so I’m not sure she’s a waitress.

Location was great, room was spacious, that’s it. It was overpriced (for the same price you can find a budget 5 star stay in Bulgaria), the facilities were poorly maintained( pool had no lifeguard, a kid pooped in the pool), the room was sort of clean , but there were big spider webs in the top corners of the room. The restaurant had only 2 child seats , charged me an extra beer that I didn’t order on one of our bills. Service was terrible, waited for a soup for 40 minutes
