Tacuapí Lodge, an eco-lodge in the protected Paraense Rainforest, features 5 cheerful cabins built from recycled wood and tobacco leaves. The lodge offers guided forest treks to hidden waterfalls, an outdoor pool, and treetop balconies with Salto Encantado Park views. The common areas, the restaurant space, and the pool area are all very pleasant, and our cabin was also nice. The food, however, was disappointing: breakfast had very few options, the bread arrived toasted and cold, we received a small bowl with 3 or 4 pieces of apple and banana, scrambled eggs were not good, the cake tasted artificial, and the same items appeared every day. Dinner was expensive, offering only two choices—one vegetarian and one non‑vegetarian—without anything special for the price, and it was not very filling. On one dinner costing 250 reais, the main dish was a piece of roasted chicken with pieces of fried cassava; we asked for a salad and they served a tasty one, but overall we still felt it was overpriced for what was offered. With no other nearby options, if they want to charge a higher price they could at least provide more distinctive dishes, and we would be happier paying more.

Esse lugar é um espetáculo. Não é só uma hospedagem, é uma experiência única. Localização, staff, café-da-manhã. É pra quem gosta de natureza sem abrir mão do conforto. Poderia fazer um textão exaltando mais qualidades do lugar, mas, como destaque, além do ambiente idílico, o restaurante, o conforto das cabanas e a privacidade são incríveis. Inclusive, o chef mandou muito bem nos pratos sem lactose. nada

The place is dreamy; the photos don’t even capture how beautiful it is. The guys are geniuses with their attention! I just wish I had more days to stay.
