The room was clean, but there was no hot water for showers, no air‑conditioning made it too warm, and we couldn’t even rinse a cup because there was no water.

The room was nice and had air‑conditioning, but there was nowhere to store luggage and I felt rushed to leave after check‑out.

I stayed two nights at the Pensione Sunset and the experience was unpleasant. The furniture is very old and worn, the bed linen is quite shabby, and the water pressure is very low. The air‑conditioning works, albeit weakly; for the two days I had no issues with that. On the second day I messaged the owner on WhatsApp asking for a set of towels to take a shower, but got no reply. I consider this total lack of communication with the customer very unfriendly and unprofessional. I also strongly advise against the area for anyone who needs to travel. It is poorly served by public transport and especially hard to reach and leave, particularly in the early hours. I had booked an Uber for 03:50 to the airport and in the evening both the ride and the driver were missing. At 03:30 the ride was completely gone. I tried several taxi companies and again Uber, but with no result. I even tried to contact the owner around 04:00, willing to pay him 50–100 € just to be taken to the airport because I risked missing two flights. Naturally he didn’t answer even on the phone. In the end I had to walk to the airport. Not because the distance was huge, but because there was practically no accessible pedestrian route: it was extremely difficult and almost impossible. Fortunately I managed to catch a private car and a kind person took me to the airport. In conclusion, I had a very negative experience and do not recommend either the property or the area for a stay.

The room was clean and pretty, the kitchen had everything needed, the fridge was there, and there was an interesting water tap in the toilet. The toilet seat was dirty, the owner cheated me for 1 € 😭 he said the tourist tax was 1 € a day and charged me for 3 days, even though I booked 2 nights and the tourist tax is per night; I checked in at 21:45 on 6 September and left at 6:45 on 8 September, this is a shameless owner! The first night I showered with cold water, again the owner was saving 😭 on the second night another guest checked into another room, and then hot water appeared. The owner says nothing in English, even though he rents rooms to international guests; he could have learned 20 English words out of respect. If you don’t have a car or motorcycle, this lodging isn’t for you; the bus runs from this village to Trapani every two hours and is late. The train is 16 min on foot and also runs every 2–3 hours, there’s no transport to the airport. I sent a text that I would come on foot from the airport in an hour, but I arrived after 1.5 hours, no one met me, I waited 10 minutes and walked in the courtyard, then the owner appeared and in Italian scolded me for being late! Only someone who has never walked in pitch darkness could say that; the road from the airport was hell, in Sicily no one walks, everyone drives.
