Everything was excellent. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning and unforgettable. The location is unique—the winding mountain road adds to the experience, and it’s only about 30 minutes to Maspalomas, 50 minutes to the airport, and around 70 minutes to Las Palmas. It also takes about an hour to reach the top of the volcano. Overall, a very special and scenic place to stay. A couple of things could be improved. The hot water capacity could be increased, as it may not be sufficient. Also, adding proper convection heaters would be beneficial, since the portable heaters tend to dry the air and are not very effective at warming the space. The internet connection (Movistar) is quite weak, around 2–4 Mbps. If no better wired option is available, it might be worth considering Starlink.

“Ideal walking base.”

The location is quiet and the host was extremely helpful, and access to mountain walking is great. Everything else was fine. One restaurant stays open until 2100, while others close between 1600 and 1700.

The apartment is beautiful, cozy, and filled with thoughtful details, and the terrace provides a lovely view of the green valley surrounded by mountains—morning breakfasts on the balcony were a treat! The kitchen is well equipped (though there is no dishwasher), and we didn't miss anything. The apartment was exceptionally clean, the bathroom was gorgeous (the second bathroom is simpler but fine), and the rooms are very pretty, with many windows, bright and friendly. The reception was very friendly, straightforward, and personal, even offering a fruit basket (garden oranges, chocolate, and wine!). Nothing negative. Fataga itself is a charming little town with stone houses. In February, the restaurants were mostly closed or only partially open in the evenings, so you can't always eat out there. From Maspalomas it's about 30 minutes via a winding mountain road that is quiet at night but has many tight curves. The only place that was open was a small bar at the town entrance near the gas station, which also serves bread in the morning—definitely recommend a cortado! In the evenings there's always a small selection of dishes.

The house is beautiful, decorated with great detail, and you feel comfortable from the first moment. The village is lovely and the house offers the best views, but you need a half‑hour drive from Maspalomas on a winding road. The road is very well marked.
